The consultancy’s work is focused on management systems performance, encompassing management system reviews, auditing, policy development and process instigation. Areas of specific expertise are health, safety and environmental, integrity and competency assurance management systems with further expertise on human factors, emergency response planning and arrangements, business continuity, incident investigation support and training.
Management Systems
Significant experience in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of a variety of management systems. This has included the successful implementation of a 14001 environmental management system, continous management and maintenance of 18001, 9001 and IMS certified systems.

Qualified ISO 18001 Lead Auditor and 14001 Auditor. Experienced in conducting 9001 and ISM audits, Operational Readiness Reviews as well as wide varitey of topic audits. Coordinated and participated in H&SE KP2, KP3 and KP4 preparatory audits prior to regulator inspections with the ICPs.

Emergency Response
Competent in both on and offshore emergency response arrangements. Acted as Fire Team Leader and lifeboat Coxswain. As an offshore safety advisor was responsible for setting incident scenarios, appraising team performance and reporting. As HSEQ Manager was accountable for scenario development with input from installation specfic major accident hazards as per the safety case, exercise planning and scheduling, evaluation of Emergency Response training and duty manager rota management.

Asset Integrity Management
Responsible for managing an asset integrity department. Main areas of focus where on delivering an improvement plan focusing on the integrity management system and the technical competence. Key deliverables surrounded overhauling the anomaly management process, (risk grading criteria, reporting and database management) and refinement of risk based assessment inspection strategies.

Performance Improvement Projects
Championed and participated a host of successful improvement charters based on the Sigma 6 approach. Coordinating budgets and resources with internal and external stakeholders. Charters included loss prevention, trip busting, gas compression reliability, competency assurance, behavioural standards, crtical spares, non-intrusive inspections, condition monitoring, electronic permit to work system and offshore health surveillance.

Whilst occupying both operations and HSEQ roles was involved in a diverse spectrum of incident invesitgations both on and offshore. Trained as Senior Accident Investigator and currently a Kelvin Topset Tutor Trainer. Set up incident review meetings focusing on investigsation quality, SMART remedial actions and lateral learning. Proficient in use of Synergi.
